About the Club

The Graduates Ski Club was established in 1966 and has around 400 members. The Club's membership includes skiers and snowboarders from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. The Club Lodges are very family friendly with private rooms that can accommodate 4-6 people so, the Lodges are a good match for skiing and snowboarding families. We also encourage competitive pursuits with a number of our teens sucessfully representing school, club and country but the lodge life is very laid back. With no television permitted games, puzzles and conversation provide entertainment and a sound social basis for the Members. Summer is no barrier with Members organising group trips to ski the Northern Hemisphere skifields and locally, using the Lodge facilities for a base for summer activies around the Ruapehu district.

The Club is run via an appointed committee and the Lodges are fully privately owned by the combined Membership. We have two Lodges  servicing the two main skifields at Ruapehu. Resident chefs are appointed to both Lodges during the Winter season - great news for families skiing all day to be able to return to the Lodges to a hearty meal prepared for them.

Members book accommodation via an online system which ensures a simple and accurate process and allows Members to book quickly as the weather provides the best ski condition opportunities.
